Trivia[]
- The title of the episode “The Pill” refers to Donna (with Midge’s decision and consent) going on birth control pills after learning of Jackie potentially being pregnant with Kelso’s child and does not want to accidentally get pregnant through sexual intimacy.
- The look Bob gives upon learning that Donna is taking birth control pills could be a reference to Kevin McCallister's pose on the Home Alone movie poster. At the time this episode takes place, that film would not release for another 13 years.
- This episode focuses on teen pregnancy issues such as teenage girls who could be pregnant if they and their boyfriends don’t use proper safe sex by using condoms. In Jackie’s case throughout the episode that after having sex with Kelso she might be pregnant but in the end Jackie later finds out that she is not pregnant and only suffered through pregnancy scare and after Jackie learns that Donna is on birth control pills she most likely got herself on the pill.
- In this episode Laurie is home from college to visit her family but in reality she only came back home (instead of spending the weekend partying) so that she can confiscate her report card and change the grades so that her parents won’t know that she is failing college.
