Sonny ''Son'' Chingkwake is a recurring character in the Netflix comedy That '90s Show. He is the son of Leo Chingkwake. He is portrayed by Kevin Smith.
Character[]
Sonny is the son of Leo and (presumably) his ex-wife. He's just like his father and spends most of the time on smoking weed and being on high with his best friend Bunch. Both of them are extremely reckless and irresponsible, showing that when they agree to get Ozzie the tickets for an R-rated movie, or when they smoke weed with Jay, Nate and Ozzie.

Trivia[]
- Sonny's actor Kevin Smith is mostly known as a filmmaker. His debut movie Clerks, which has been mentioned in "Free Leia", also introduced his most famous characters who went on to appear in most of Kevin Smith's subsequent movies, in a shared universe dubbed the "View Askewniverse": Jay and Silent Bob, played respectively by Jason Mewes and himself.
- Some consider Jay and Silent Bob to be the '90s counterparts to Cheech and Chong, a comparison mentioned in the 2001 movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Tommy Chong appeared in its 2019 sequel Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
- While Sonny intentionally resembles Silent Bob for the most part, a major difference is the color of his overcoat: Silent Bob's is green, Sonny's is maroon.
- Smith and Mewes are from New Jersey, which is also where most of the "View Askewniverse" movies take place. As a reference to that, Sonny's car has New Jersey license plates.
