Sherri Runck is a recurring character in That '90s Show. She is Nate and Gwen Runck's mother, as well as is Kitty and Red Forman's next door neighbor. She is portrayed by Andrea Anders.
Character[]
Sherri is reckless and absent-minded Red and Kitty Formans' neighbor, who often visits them. She often takes food out of Formans' house and sometimes takes showers there when she has no warm water at hers.
Friendships[]
Red Forman[]
Despite the fact that Red was cold to Sherri most of the time, the two developed some kind of friendship. They first interacted when Sherri walks in Forman house, telling them that they had yelled at her kids and Red tells her that they deserved it.
Throughout the series, Sherri thinks that Red is acting like her dad and during one of the talks with Leia and her friends she mentions that adults should be understanding. After Kitty got a tattoo and Red finds out about all the situations from the day, he gets furious with everyone, when Sherri says that nobody got hurt, but Red states that his wife has a tattoo after he had asked her for a simple favor. Sherri tells him to screw himself and leaves.
Red teaching Sherri how to ride a bike
After some time, Sherri and Red make up, as Sherri tells him that she knows he is not her father, and she shouldn't have yelled at him about past emotional trauma. Red asks if they were going to chat or learn how to ride a bike, telling her to do as they had practiced. After that, Sherri is able to ride the bike, but she is not able to brake and runs into Red who calls her an idiot.
After couple days, Red's doing some works at Sherri's house.
Later, Sherri tells Red that his tree had fallen and could have hurt someone, so she could sue him, but Red tells her that the tree was on her property. As Sherri tries to point out that maybe it was not so bad, Red tells her that he had mentioned the tree problem before. Sherri says that she had been busy and Fez shows up, saying that he was what she had been busy with. Red mentions that Sherri needs to call her landlord, but she does not want to, asking him to do it instead because he is good at yelling at people, which he agrees to do.
Kitty Forman[]
Kitty and Sherri became friends in July of 1995, when Kitty was the one who advised her with her love life. When Sherri was dating Fez, and wanted to break up with him, but wasn't able to, Kitty told her she'll talk to him about it for her.
After Kitty got a tattoo, Sherri actually likes it, trying to defend her from Red's anger.
During a rainy day Sherri and Kitty watch as Red makes repairs, who wants to be timed to see how fast he did it. Sherri says that Red could help her out at her house, which Kitty says is a great idea so he would leave.
Romances[]
Fez[]
Sherri started dating Fez prior to July 1995. After they met, Fez felt something special for Sherri. Something, he didn't feel for anyone besides Jackie.
After Sherri decides to break up with Fez, she doesn't know how she's supposed to do this as she doesn't want to hurt him. So Sherri, ends up asking Kitty for help, as she later goes to Fez's salon, but is unable to tell him the news. Eventually, Red is the one who tells Fez it's over between Sherri and him. Fez is depressed, but when Red mentions that Sherri has kids and is in her forties, Fez says he missed a bullet with her.
After some time, the two eventually got back together, when after the tree problem, and Sherri asks Red to call the landlord, Fez asks Red if he could do it, wanting to show Sherri how he cares about her. Sherri thanks Fez for helping her talk to the landlord. Gwen walks in asking for 20 dollars so she could get something for Leia, so Fez takes the opportunity to give it to her. Sherri tells Fez that that was very sweet and the landlord, Fenton, walks in. Fenton tells Sherri that he would not do anything about the tree until she paid rent, which had now gone up.
When Fez is on high, he realizes that he needs to let go of his grudge with Fenton to fix everything with Sherri. Sherri thanks Fez for whatever it is he had said to Fenton since he had backed off. Fez tells her that he likes her, as Fenton walks in, saying he had gotten rid of the tree. He takes off his helmet and shows off majestic hair which Fez had given him. Sherri thanks him for everything they had done, and later she and Fez ends up having sex upstairs.
By June 1996, Sherri is shown to be single again, meaning their relationship has ended.
Brian[]
Brian is Sherri's ex-husband and the father of her son, Nate. In episode ''Summer Storm'' Sherri, being in the Forman house, calls him and tells him that needs to send Nate shirts that actually fit him.
