Season 5 of American television series That '70s Show aired on FOX from September 17, 2002 to May 14, 2003.
Recap
Despite his parents' forbidding it, a determined and lovestruck Eric decides to go to California and find Donna so he can declare his love to her face-to-face. The consequences of the trip include Eric losing his car and Donna being sent by Bob to Catholic school. Jackie and Hyde begin messing around, much to Fez's shock and Kelso's chagrin. Though Kelso is back on the prowl and dating a new girl named Annette, Jackie is ultimately torn as to who whether she should be with him or Hyde. Fez gets a job at the DMV and pursues a relationship with Nina, his neurotic new boss (and finally loses his virginity!), while Kelso decides to become a cop.
Kitty announces that she is pregnant—but it turns out to just be menopause, which sends her into a tailspin. Jackie's city councilman father gets sent to prison and her partying mom has no intention of coming home to take care of her, leaving Hyde at a loss as to how he can help. Eric and Donna get engaged and decide to move together to Madison, which enrages Red. Fez discovers that his student visa has expired and he has to leave America, leading Laurie to take the drastic step of marrying him. The news of their nuptials causes Red to have a heart attack.
