Trivia[]
- Title refers to the 1936 film of the same, which is directly parodied by the characters at one point.
- When Donna and Jackie are arguing over telling Red the truth, Donna tells her "Don't tell me what to do, midget!". Some modern reruns (such as on Laff) mute out the word "midget", and the same applies for other episodes where it is used.
- Midge heavily implies that she and Bob partake in the use of cannabis as Midge said "That stuff was right here in our own neighborhood? And to think of all the times we have to drive across town..." before Bob cuts her off.
- Tween Eric mentions finding Laurie's "mints" (birth control pills), which means Laurie was sexually active at age 15.
- The smoke detector Red hangs in the basement remains there until the end of the series. However, it is never shown to work, meaning that at some point the gang tampered with it.
