- Donna's vision of the future is reminiscent of the TV series All in the Family.
- Two lines Kelso comes up with for his song to Jackie are "I didn't mean to cheat, but she forced me", "she downright coerced me", referring to the events of "Red's Last Day". This is exactly what happened, as his relationship with Laurie did start with her forcing herself on him.
