Trivia[]
- Eric mentions the novel Sophie's Choice which came out in 1979, not 78.
- Fez's fantasy about jumping sharks on water skis in a reference to a notorious episode of the sitcom Happy Days. Hyde's (and Fez's) negative reaction is based on the real life negative publicity surrounding the episode, which coined the phrase "jump the shark", signaling the beginning of a television program's decline in quality
- Kitty and Red have sex together, but they do not have a condom. Red mentions "risking it", however later in the series Kitty went through menopause in "Over the Hills and Far Away".
- Eric compares Red to Darth Vader, which marks his first Star Wars reference since Season 1's "A New Hope", and one of the rare times he mentions the franchise before becoming obsessed with it between seasons 4 and 5.
