Trivia[]
- The title of the episode “Fun It” refers to the gang stealing Fatso the Clown statue as both to entertain themselves after getting bored of hanging out in the basement too many times and to get payback at the current owner of the establishment. Additionally the title of the episode is also a reference to the Queen song, “Fun It”. However, since the much more popular song “Run It” came out six months before the episode aired, the episode title can incorrectly be seen as a pun on “Run It”.
- First and Last appearance of Mr. Visotsky.
- It’s revealed that Jackie has a phobia of Clowns ever since childhood due to a hired birthday clown unintentionally scaring her with a trick and her accidentally walking in on her mother making out with the clown.
- In Season 1, Fatso Burger was stated to be owned by Jack Burkhart, who was jailed for bribery since then. This episode introduces the restaurant's new owner, Mr. Visotsky.
- Bob has apparently gotten into fights with other clown statues at fast food places.
- Donna acts like Eric normally does throughout "Fun It" as this episode was written for his character, but since Topher Grace left the script was adjusted.
- Unlike Eric's character, who acted deadpan, Donna gives energy and excitement to the lines.
- Jackie's nightmare in the end credits parodies the infamous scene from The Godfather where Jack Woltz discovers the head of his prize horse underneath the covers.
Mentions of Eric[]
- Donna mentions having sweaty palms for the first time since dating Eric and holding his sweaty palms.
Goofs[]
- There is a visible continuity error when Fez throws a pickle towards Mr. Visotsky and it lands on Donna's forehead: right before the camera cuts to Fez after he throws it and then to her with it on her forehead, Donna can be seen turning towards Mr. Visotsky as Fez makes his throw, then back to the gang, clearly with nothing on her forehead.
- Shouldn't Bob have known Fatso Burger was closed since the lights were off in the building? Given the amount of years he's gone there, Bob should know what the opening hours are.
- After Fatso the Clown breaks, Donna picks up a red ball from the debris of the torso and refers to it as the nose, despite the fact that not only was Fatso the Clown's nose actually painted on, the head also rolled away completely intact.
- If the clown is so easily breakable when the teens get a hold of it, then how did it withstand the weather elements presumably for over a decade?
International titles[]
- French: "Arrêtez vos clowneries!" (Stop clowning!)
- German: "Der geklaute Clown" (The stolen clown)
