"Celebration Day" is the twenty-fifth and final episode of the fifth season of That '70s Show, and the one-hundred-twenty-eighth episode overall. It aired on May 14, 2003.

Synopsis[]

The gang gets ready to graduate with the class of 1978; Kelso and Hyde fight over Jackie; Eric and Donna say good-bye to their childhood; Fez awaits deportation; Red fantasizes about life after the children are gone.

Trivia[]

  • The title of the episode “Celebration Day” refers to the gang spending one night camping before both graduation day and Fez soon leaving to go back to his homeland.
  • Lisa Robin Kelly makes her final appearance in the role of Laurie Forman. The next time Laurie appears is in Season 6 where she is portrayed by Christina Moore.
  • Fez and Laurie have sex.
  • Laurie marries Fez so he can stay in the States.
  • Red has a heart attack.
  • At the end of the episode, Fez sends a message to his family in a bottle saying that he is staying in the US and that people have landed on the moon
  • This episode was originally aired as a "super-sized" episode, which means that they show more episode footage and less commercials, and this episode originally aired at 27 minutes even though the DVD/Blu-ray versions have the episode edited down to 22 minutes.
    • The missing scenes include a "previously on That '70s Show" segment at the beginning that recaps previous moments from the season, and a fantasy scene where Red has turned the basement into a football fan's paradise. The scene also includes a celebrity appearance by Joe Theismann; he and Red hang out together like friends.
