Synopsis[]
Jackie's house goes up in flames after Kelso brings a bunch of his friends to her elegant dinner party. Red discovers that Bob wears a toupee.

- Hyde hooks up with the popular classmate Kat Peterson, much to his friends’ surprise. Later during the episode at Jackie’s dinner party Kat while being with her friends when Hyde tries to approach her she rudely dismisses him, much to his chagrin. However after everyone leaves the party due to Kelso accidentally burning the house Kat came to Hyde and admitted that she really does like him but pretended to despise him because she didn’t want her friends and the popular students to know and that would tarnish her reputation. Despite of this Hyde forgives Kat and takes her somewhere else to hangout.
- The song that a drunken Eric tries to sing to Donna with Timmy playing the piano is “Hey Donna” which is actually Eric’s version of the song “Hey Paula” by Paul and Paula.
- The title of the episode “Burning Down The House” refers to Kelso accidentally burning Jackie’s house during her elegant dinner party. Additionally the title of the episode is also a reference to the rock band Talking Heads’ popular song “Burning Down the House”.
- When Kelso tries to put out the fire that he accidentally caused he uses Brandies to put it out, unfortunately it only makes it worse as the fire keeps engulfing. Because of this Kelso does not have any knowledge of the fact that the liquor is also flammable.
- Bob's baldness is never acknowledged after this episode.
