- STAR WARS THEME
- The dream sequence with the cast as Star Wars characters utilize the common trope of light = good, dark = evil. Dirty blonde Hyde and Eric and redhead Donna portray the heroes, while Fez and Jackie, both with black hair, are Darth Vader's storm troopers.
- While Eric liked Star Wars and was excited about it the morning after, it's really Kelso who goes overboard with it, wanting to see it over and over and even turning down sex with Jackie in favor of the movie. This is in contrast to later seasons, where Eric is the one who goes overboard on Star Wars
- During the episode's intro, instead of the gang driving in the Vista Cruiser, the infamous opening crawl of the Star Wars movies is shown.
- Despite the text explicitly calling this episode "Episode XXV" (25), this episode was produced 22nd and aired 20th.
- In the scene where Eric confronts David, Eric and Donna are wearing light colors, like Luke and Leia, and David is wearing dark colors, like Darth Vader.
- Kitty recognizes that the voice of Darth Vader is James Earl Jones, which, at the time, was a fact unknown to audiences, as Jones went uncredited for this role in both A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.
