Oh, come on, Donna! I mean, I've talked to you, I've listened to you, I've shared ideas with you: what's that about?

You know what, Eric? You don't trust me and you don't respect me

  • Fez's country has never fought a war.
  • Laurie tells Eric that she has flunked out of college; Red and Kitty still don't know.
  • Laurie and Kelso make out. Laurie tells Eric
    • The dream sequence with the cast as Star Wars characters utilises the common trope of light = good, dark = evil. Dirty blonde Hyde and Eric and redhead Donna portray the heroes, while Fez and Jackie, both with black hair, are Darth Vader's storm troopers.
    • While Eric liked Star Wars and was excited about it the morning after, it's really Kelso who goes overboard with it, wanting to see it over and over and even turning down sex with Jackie in favor of the movie. This is in contrast to later seasons, where Eric is the one who goes overboard on Star Wars
    • During the episode's intro, instead of the gang driving in the Vista Cruiser, the infamous opening scrawl of the Star Wars movies is shown. Also, the film chronology that is read in the movie is titled Episode XXV, meaning that is is the 25th episode when it is in fact the 20th episode.
    • In the scene where Eric confronts David, Eric and Donna are wearing light colours, like Luke and Leia, and David is wearing dark colors, like Darth Vader.
    • Kitty recognizes that the voice of Darth Vader is James Earl Jones, which, at the time, was a fact unknown to audiences, as Jones went uncredited for this role in both A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.
